Tom Hickson: President
Tom leads the World Governing Body, and his main focus is international development, working with nations and continents across the Dodgeball community.
Tom has worked within the Leisure and Sport Industry for the past 12 years and therefore possesses a vast amount of experience in leading small, medium and large scale organisations within the voluntary and public sector.
Tom worked as a senior officer at East Cambridgeshire District Council for 5 years managing the portfolios of Sport, Health, Community Development and 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. This involved high levels of staff, budgetary management and decision making.
In recent times Tom became a Director on the UK Dodgeball Association Board over two years ago as a strategic and international development lead. In addition Tom was elected as Vice President of the European Dodgeball Federation, and this voluntary post has been held for 18 months.
Mark Croston: Chair, WDA Board
Mark leads on developing the sports business processes, working with stakeholders to develop the sports commercial activity and profile.
Mark has a long standing background at senior management level that is predominantly based within public and private sector leisure services. In addition Mark is a member of the Rugby Football League (RFL) Council in the UK and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport & Physical Activity.
Mark Played professional rugby throughout the 1990s in the UK, Australia and France. Mark also gained international experience playing for Canada.
Ed Prentiss: North America Ambassador
Ed is an Executive Member as the North American Ambassador of the World Dodgeball Association. Ed founded the National Dodgeball League (NDL) within the United States of America back in 2003, and has continued develop Dodgeball from East to West costs of the country.
He is also responsible for creating and host one of the most successful international competitions on the planet which is a part of our International Competition Series.
Emmanuel Robin Tan: Asia Ambassador
Emmanuel is a founder and President of the Asian Dodgeball Federation.
Emmanuel’s work has been focused on developing Dodgeball across the continent particularly within the more developing countries such as Indonesia and Thailand.
In addition Emmanuel is responsible for leading the Asian Dodgeball Championships.
Max Golda: Europe Ambassador
In August 2016 Max Golda has been elected as the new president of the European Dodgeball Federation.
In this capacity he joins the WDA council as the new european ambassador. He will continue the work of former EDBF president Nick Pinnock, who sadly passed away in 2016.
Mo Islam: National Governing Body Lead
Mo is the current Chairperson of the UK Dodgeball Association who are a leading accredited National Governing Body. Mo is the NGB’s link with key stakeholders in the UK, including Sports Councils, Local Authorities, School Sports Partnerships, Association of Colleges, Community Sports Networks and leisure operators.
Mo has cross sector experience in the private, public and voluntary sports and leisure fields and he is fully committed to ensuring that any person or organisation involved with Dodgeball in the UK can rely on the UK Dodgeball Association for sound advice and professional support.
